San Giorgio Maggiore - San Marco Canal- Venice
This magnificent scene was presented to me on a fine January morning as the sun rose over the San Marco Canal.
I especially love the way that the side lighting catches the tips of the gondolas and their deep blue covers.
The bold foreground elements are given a strong sense of place with San Giorgio Maggiore as the back drop.
When moments like this occur, it all feels worth it.
